Robert
A. Buckley, M.D.
Doctor Buckley began practicing
orthopedic surgery in 1992. He attended Northgate High School in
Walnut Creek where he was elected Student Body President and was
additionally named to the Northgate High School Athletic Hall of
Fame. Dr. Buckley completed his undergraduate work at the University
of California Berkeley, where he played rugby and JV basketball
before graduating with honors. Dr. Buckley earned his medical degree
from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, receiving the
Roland Starr Award for Excellence in Pediatrics. After completing
his internship and residency in orthopedics at the University of
Minnesota School of Medicine, he returned to Walnut Creek, where he
has practiced for seventeen years.
An avid road and
mountain bike cyclist, Dr. Buckley understands how orthopedic
struggles can impact an active lifestyle. Dedicated and hardworking,
he has presented research studies at the American Academy of
Orthopedic Surgery, served on multiple committees at John Muir
Medical Center, and was
previously elected Chairman of the Department
of Orthopedics.
Dr. Buckley
currently practices orthopedic surgery with a special interest in
arthroscopic procedures of the knee and shoulder, as well as total
hip and total knee joint replacement, at Muir Orthopedic
Specialists. |
